Introduction to Embase

Embase is a peer-reviewed biomedical and pharmacological database with international scope that includes more than 2,700 journals not covered by PubMed/Medline and over 300,000 conference abstracts. Emtree, is a list of indexed terms used in Embase that combined with Medline, retrieve more relevant search results. Embase is an ideal resource for preparing systematic reviews and tracking drug and medical device information.  This half-hour session will be an overview of how to perform a basic search in Embase, use the controlled vocabulary Emtree, and how to save your searches.
