This virtual class will cover what confirmation bias is and how it can affect research. There will be examples of confirmation bias with a focus within the medical/health research field. There are ways to avoid confirmation bias, which involve critical questions for the researcher to ask themselves when formulating a research topic. Other ways of combatting confirmation bias also involve seeking help from a librarian! This class will review these safeguards and describe how the TMC Library can assist you!
